BEEF Daily Story Teller Contest Winners!
It’s the moment we have all been waiting for. Today, I’m unveiling the winners of the second BEEF Daily Summer Contest. If you missed out, this contest challenge readers to answer the question: “What’s your favorite childhood memory on the farm?” After reading many interesting, funny and cute farm kid stories, the judges narrowed down the entries and selected the Grand and Reserve Champion Story Tellers in this BEEF Daily Summer Contest. Winners will receive an amazing photography book titled, Brands of the West, by popular western photographer, David R. Stoecklein. And, now for the winners…
Grand Champion Story Teller: Ann Howle from Alabama with “The Bull Story”
Reserve Champion Story Teller: Betty Munsey of Virginia with “Hay Season”
Thank you to all of the participants in this very competitive story telling contest. Story entries ranged in the following topics: turkey farms, gardens, cattle auctions, heat detecting, showing livestock, cooking, camping, fishing and good old farming traditions. If you missed out on the last two contests, your chance to join in on the summer fun begins again on Monday. Next week, I will be launching a sweepstakes, and I hope you will stop by!

The Bull Story is interesting, but it’s certainly not a ‘childhood memory’. LOL
*Betty’s* story fits, though.

Becky,
You are probably right in that she didn’t submit a childhood memory. Yet, it was a very well written story that I thought was worth honoring. I hope that you will take part in the next contest. Thanks for your message and continued readership!
